Sure they could, they'd just abandon their family and jerk off to anime and play video games all day.

I have total freedom to do that if I want. People who made a mistake by getting married encourage others to do it so they don't feel alone. A part of them will always wonder how life would have been, having fun and meeting new people single, instead of being stuck in a house every night with an ungrateful family.

I have total freedom to do what I want as well. I have the opportunity to come home to a house full of grateful people who support me and have fun with me all the time instead of having to hope the new people I meet don’t hate my guys after hanging out once or twice.

Families and games don't go well together, that's what I experienced. I'd rather keep games for myself and let my family do family things. Family men shouldn't be on this site.

nothing better than letting your lad get an early lead in fifa, then raping him in the 2nd half. watcing him get frustrated as I pass the ball round in the last few minutes just to tease him. one of the perks of playing games with your kids.

You can do whatever you want, sure. Yet the point of this thread is the apparent distress you feel over never getting to experience those feels you had growing up. Just saying, there's even better feels out there. But if you're happy doing what you do then more power to ya.

Yeah, I've been buying my own consoles since GameCube (my mom bought me and my brother an original Xbox which was actually really fun to play together) and it's just not the same. I buy a console now, usually a game or two, bring it home, play it for a couple of hours then have to exercise, or make my lunch for work the next day, or just go to bed so I'll be fit to work the next day, or I have some other responsibilities or some shit. But man, I remember getting Nintendo 64 for Christmas as a kid, and me and my brother going apeshit like that fucking YouTube video, especially when we found Smash Bros under the tree after that. We played the whole fucking day, took like a 20 minute break for Christmas dinner, played some more, I'd say it was the first time I stayed up until 3 or 4 in the morning playing games. It was fucking unreal, and while it's a feeling I'll never relive, I hope I can pass it on to my kids some day with something exciting.

I have a wife and kid. My job is M-F 9-5, but I have other responsibilities, it's rare that I'm in bed any later than midnight on the weekend, and I'm usually up first with the little guy. He's too young to play video games yet, but he does sometimes sit on my lap on Sundays and watch me play SNES.

Thankfully, a lot of that shit became cheap years later on the second-hand market, so I was able to buy up a lot of retro stuff I missed out on by the time I was in my 20s.

But yeah, I'll never know the feel in OP's post. I'm still happy for you guys. I guess.

Fortnight is cool. Mine's a little young for it but if it's still around and he wants to play it when he's older then cool for him. I like old games, but certainly not exclusively old games. Seeing the delight and joy of discovery and play is the good part, what brings it is ancillary at best.

Hah, wouldn't have happened. I had to fight tooth and nail with my mother to get any video games. My grandparents got me a gameboy much to her chagrin. I had to collect good marks in school so I was allowed to buy Super Mario Land 2 from my own savings.

So you're complaining that moms just let their NEET spawn use their credit card to order the stuff online instead of going to the store to buy it? What do you expect? Todays moms aren't even willing to put in the effort required for basic parenting. No way they're going to take a break from all their fad classes to go shopping for something that they can't wear.
