VITA's emulators suck except for super basic things.
The 3DS is an unwieldy piece of shit
Switch has quite possibly the worst controls you can get for retro.

If you really had to choose one, I would go with the VITA since it's at least more comfortable to use than the other two, but hope you don't intend to play stuff with special chips like Yoshi's Island or Star Fox because it's gonna run like shit.

If the Vita could get SNES and GBA at real full speed they'd be perfect.
I know they're capable of that but the scene just can't be bothered to actually find the way to make an emulator that takes full advantage of the Vita's power.

So for now my vote goes to the 3DS because it emulates everything Vita does but better except you trade PS games with DS games.
I own a New 2DS, the D-Pad is faaar from perfect but being able to play SNES at full speed is worth it personally.

I used to own one of these but I sold it when they spiked in value on ebay.
The screen is seriously garbage. It's 320x240 which is normally fine for emulation other than GBA, but the bezels cut off 3-4px around the border. I believe this to be intentional because these devices have a high frequency of dead pixels underneath those 4px margins.

The analog nub shaft was also prone to breaking and the hardware in these things was incredibly overpriced at the time compared to Dingoos and JXD handhelds.

Good fucking riddance GPH.
