Woah! The heck! I have Battle Mania 2 and never noticed that. (Guess I was always too busy shooting everything that moves to survive as soon as I saw it, and thusly probably never gave much thought or attention). Talent wise, obviously, they were both legends, but at least in north America their time had come and gone a decade earlier. The early 90s were when comics peaked in popularity and it was all the edgy x-treme comics shit that kids sketched in my high school art class (cable, azrael armored batman dude, bane, venom/carnage).

Fans of Frazetta style art were teased and called "skids" at my highschool. Metal was out and grunge and alternative were in.
