Anyone has experience with the DC version? is it better than the Dualshock ver. on the PS1?

I've had great experiences with the GC version running in my PC with Dolphin x64. Using OpenGL with all the speed hacks activated, and a 2x resolution. Surprisingly it runs fine with my crappy specs (Win7 64, AMD A8-7650k with integrated R7 graphics, 4GB DDR3 RAM)

-Native PC version
I've installed it but found no way to get any gamepad working. Looks a bit better than the GC version, in my opinion.

That's all I wanted to share. I noticed the Dolphin Wiki does not care much about AMD and I decided to share this because the DX11 mode (aka, default settings) runs like crap and the OpenGL mode makes any game playable even on shitty hardware. I know GC is "not retro" but we're talking about a PS1 port.

PSN version is also completely fine. Platinum version on the PC is the best though, yeah.

The N64 version using project64 (glide64 plugins and azimer's sound plugin) works perfectly. This version also has the alternate controls which make the game much better. The PS1 version emulates fine as well, if you don't mind the tank controls.

I used to speedrun RE2 a lot on hard with herbs only. good times, hardest part was the final battle with T303.

Also Chief Irons was the best.

There has been a translated version of the Sourcenext port around for years. For RE3 too.

It's only RE1 that is fucked. Didn't stop me from playing it start to finish, though, but that's just me. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
