A nu-male SJW dev decides to make the spiritual sequel. The protagonist is a buff, fat woman and the enemies symbolize aspects of toxic masculinity. The dev is ignorant of the items' functions, and replaces them with gimmicky one-use ones. The maps are small and have cluttered backgrounds, making the main character hard to see. Also, it's made in Unity 3D.

Monolith should just do it themselves. Hire Stephen Weyte to do the voice, too. Just make a game like Dark Souls was to Demon's Souls. The devs fucking love the game, too, they're always talking about it interviews and have done so many easter egg references to it in their other games.

Gods that don't care about mortals in a shitty world with tragic things happening everywhere. The only game that I've found that's close to matching it in tone is Lightning Returns.
