Yes, but the Virtual Boy Wario Land is probably the best one. I really liked Shake It! Too. Wario Land 3 is better than 2, not a huge fan of the "transformation" element in the later Wario Land games.

Except you can't even consider the hypothesis of being hit by something in high difficulties, and you should focus in max speed instead.
Also after Super Mario 64 you can actually use you weight to get over other racers, Bowser is the best character in both games.

IMO Wario Land 4 is one of the best platformers ever made. The graphics, music, level design, gameplay, bosses, everything feels perfect. There's even hard and super hard modes and few addicting minigames. Too bad it doesn't actually belong to /vr/ since it's on GBA.

The only other ones I have played are Wario Land 3 (nonlinear as hell and not in a very positive way) and NDS's Master of Disguise (just plain boring).

Having max speed won't mean shit when you're constantly being hit by blue shells and every other projectile in the higher difficulties. Being able to recover from those events quickly is much better than being heavy and super fast.

But paired with Wario? Comedy fucking gold. They become a beautiful pair of extreme parodies of their heroic counterparts (Wario is squat and obese, Waluigi gangly and tall). Wario is greedy, but incredibly lazy. Waluigi on the other hand is all about frenetic energy, rage that is constantly seething and bursting out like a steam whistle.

Wario, Waluigi? Don't make me choose.

But the Wario Bros? They'll get my vote every time.
