What is the best retro Star Trek game /vr/? And why is it Star Trek TNG for the Game Gear?

I know it's not exactly retro related but will any developer like Bioware or Telltale ever step up and give us one last adventure for the crew of the Enterprise-D before the cast starts dying off? Heck, they could even have it take place during the later seasons of TNG so they have an excuse to bring in DS9 & its cast too. but not the cast of Voyager, fuck that shitty show except maybe Robert Picardo - he's alright. If this Unreal recreation of the Enterprise-D was made into a real game I would literally cry with joy...

Star Trek 25th Anniversary. You have to know a bit about chemistry and math to beat it, which is perhaps a bit unfair, but it's a great game that emulates the first series pretty much perfectly.

They should. Patrick Stewart looks the same. Dorn has so much makeup on it doesn't matter if he ages. Brent Spiner has not aged well but Data is dead, so that's solved. Mariana Sirtis looks decent still. Lavar Burton could probably pass with makeup. Frakes looks like an old man now though, he's probably aged the worst

Unless you're suggesting it be an early 90s style FMV game then they'll just do voice work and be represented by CG models of their younger selves. Also even if it were to take place after Nemesis i believe canonically Data is alive again, having uploaded his program into the body of his retarded older brother prototype B4.

The point and click adventure game one was pretty good if I remember.

I also played a few others. One was where you played an ensign...he might have been vulcan or half vuclan. Had the nerve pinch thing. Never liked that one. Controls and camera were bad.

And I played one from DS9. I think in the stage I played you controlled Kyra Nerys. It was also Tomb Raider style and it was bad.

>Data is dead
They revived him offscreen.
The (canon) companion comic that came out to explain the events leading up to the Star Trek reboot had Captain Data in command of the Enterprise-E, after Picard retired to become Ambassador to Vulcan.
Basically he pulled a Spock; before transporting to the Scimitar, he copied his memory into B4. Despite Picard letting him free, B4 was later studied and Data's memory backup was discovered by Geordi and restored.
