compared to the vita, it is a bit heavier and the ergonomics are not quite as superb, but it is definitely comparable. it is quite a bit more powerful than the vita, retroarch loads games within a second compared to around 10 seconds on the vita, and n64 runs much better. the screen is 720p vs the vita 544p, so everything scales nicer. at $60 this should be the #1 recommendation.

vs Vita:

+ L2/R2 - even though they kinda suck, they are extra buttons for hotkeys.
- no touchscreen / back touch - I never used it on Vita, but at least it was an option
+ better screen - 720p looks great for 4th gen and earlier with sharp pixels. it also has a faster pixel response than Vita (less motion blur)
+ bigger battery - 5000mah vs Vita 2000mah
- higher power draw - it gets warm and can chug battery
- heavier, less ergonomic - it feels slightly heavier, and doesn't have as nice of a curve as the Vita
+ no need for hacks or sd adapter - fuck Sony
- worse PSP and no Vita games - Vita's library is mostly ports, but those are ports you won't be able to play on TSP
+ faster - everything loads faster. Vita has some hefty delay when loading any rom.

and I've gone back and tested the d-pad again because it's still bothering me, it's slightly too stiff, or slightly too small, something is off and it doesn't feel right like the Vita d-pad.
