>1/2.4 damage (1 missile released every 2.4 frames: fractional frames, these can't exist, what the hell)
>decided to look further into Inferno, always assumed (like everyone else apparently) that it shoots missiles every X frames
>it shoots 8 missiles every X frames instead
Looks like I finally cracked the Mystery of the Broken Inferno after 20 fucking years.

>case 3: minimum damage is 1 less than maximum damage
>+1 minimum damage = +0.5 average damage (minimum and maximum swap)
>+1 maximum damage = +0.5 average damage
This game is destroying my mind with its insane logic. I spent 30 minutes trying to justify in my head why cases 1 and 3 must be true and why case 2 can't be true. But it turns out case 1 is always true, case 2 is only true for melee and case 3 is only true for ranged attacks. What the fuck.
