>roll for hours to even have a chance for characters to not instantly die because of good bonus
>create proxy characters for hours, add to party, pool gold, delete proxies, repeat until you have actual equipment for mains
>Armor class if glitched in NES version and doesnt affect enemy attacks at all
>you can get warped to inescapable rooms via trap chests and lose hours of character leveling

Has anyone here actually beat this game?

Not sure if you can really call it a bad game,
but "Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord" on NES.

When me and my siblings were kids,
we poured a lot of time into it.
I guess we were too young to understand it,
but we still played the shit out of it.

Is there anyone kind enough to give me a brief guide to getting into Wizardry? I've been interested in it for a while. Which games are essential, which ones to pass? Are the Japanese versions worthwhile?
