RGB vs Comp is such a dumb fucking debate because it isn't something that's 100 percent one side or another. Genesis devs have talked about accounting for the shitty composite quality of the system but were also jealous of PC-Engine having a cleaner signal. Neo Geo games ran on RGB arcade CRTs before the composite TVs did with an AES. The truth is the pixel art decisions were made on a case by case basis either intentionally or unintentionally and there's no correct answer. Some of them were working on PVMs and left it at that. Some of them did account for a composite TV and changed sprites accordingly.
I can see the argument to be made between raw ass pixels versus CRT, but the image quality differences between cables on the CRT is too much of a grey area for me to give a shit one way or another. The only thing it's good for is to derail a thread, and that's all I see it as now.
