What's the best PSX emulator for high resolutions?

Please help! I need to find this game's name, cause i want to play it but i just remember a few things, hope you can help me guys.

It's this game for Psx it's about an Astronaut, it looks pretty much arcade, you have this gun and have to kill every alien comes to you, they come in waves and they're green with red eyes (they're all cartoonns) and there are also some sort of orange bats that attack you at the same time, the little white astronaut can catch some powerups for his gun and extra lifes . Yu just have to get up and down at the stage wich contains different floors so you can run away form the aliens. I just can't remember this game's name, please help!

So what was your reaction when some of the console makers announced their first CD-based consoles? Was it a positive reaction or a negative one?

Just bought pic related, can you tell me some cheap game to buy? I had a ps1 as a kid, but I didn't have many games, just Metal Gear Solid, Crash series, Final fanasy VII-IX and Spyro1-3.

What does /vr/ think about Emulation?

So I want to start a psx collection, but I live in PAL area. Since most of the gmes I want to play are from NTSC regions, should I buy a modded psx or a regular NTSC ones?

So my old PSOne lens is dying and i've discovered than there's an emulator for PC, ePSXe, that is able to run the games from the original CDs. I tested it and it's great and compatible with all the games I tried.

All the configurations I've found in the internet are intended to IMPROVE the graphics of the games, applying filters to textures, reducing glitches and stuff like that.

But I'd like to have a configuration that emulates as best as possible the original capabilities of the PSX, to have the nearest experience to play with a real console. Glitches, polygons and bad textures included.

Anyone has a screenshot about plugins and its configuration needed to get that?
