Somewhere around 1988/1989. Was around 6 years old. Friend from next door comes home from shopping with his mom. Tells me he got something called a "Nintendo." Shortly after I see Mario for the first time and instantly I'm addicted.
I spent so much time next door, my parents finally got me one of my own.

I often wonder what life would have been like had that day not occurred.

I probably played some arcade game before this, but Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt was definitely the first game I ever owned. I swear to God that it's more common than the stand-alone versions.
