For me is Dragon Quest II.
Also many developers back then weren't afraid of experimenting like they are today, of all the sequel OP names only SMB2 hasn't clicked with me.
Even if they are "bad" all of them have leave a huge impact on their respective franchises.

Only problem i had with Qragon Quest II was the Sun Crest, i had to search it online, to be honest whenever i replay the game i use maps for the Lighthouse and the Cave to Rhone because they are way to big.
