Unless that's the iron-sight graphic, it probably would be pretty odd and goofy looking at that angle.

Also, in my opinion, you should size down the source graphic to Doom size, a lot of the blemishes disappear like that, and detail isn't as "thick" so to speak.

Can you show me a picture of your 1911 by the way? What brand is it? Is it chambered for the classic .45ACP or something else?
