OK, I'll bite. What are JVC D-series remotes?
Photos are useful. Is this a pro screen or consumer tv?

Perhaps but you'll have to take it home and clean it up and turn it on to find out.
Good luck, there's a good chance it is.

>S-video is underrated
You're wrong though. People pretty much are spot on describing it. I'll use s-video on my n64 because I don't have enough N64 games to justify upgrading it and because most games have that blur filter on them anyway. It is a step up from composite but quantifiably worse than RGB in all but theoretical conditions where both the encoder and decoder are perfect.
>You don't have to get a PVM. Consumer televisions are just fine.
*some consumer TV's are just fine.
Many aren't.
>Sony isn't the only brand you should be looking for
True.
>Anything under 19" is probably too small and you'll wish you had gone bigger
That's an absolute lie though. I prefer my 14" to my 20".
>Shadow Mask is equally as good as aperture grille in its own way and you may even prefer it
Not really because you need to be more specific. I do prefer tri-dot shadow masks but rectangular slot masks suck.
>PC CRTs are useful and as you get further into the CRT hobby you'll regret passing up on the good ones when you first got into the scene
1) There is no scene
2) PC CRT's are less useful than TV's unless you're an emufag who can't afford a Wii or you find one that will handle 15.6khz.

Both have pros and cons. Just because aperture grilles cost more doesn't mean they're necessarily better, but they aren't actually worse either.
