Yeah see that was nice. Those were endearing an engaging characters. And then they fuck off and are never heard from again and you get....literally I don't remember. I know you had the main goggle guy and you had the elf chick but the rest of the party was completely vacuous. And maybe it was just me but the game REALLY wanted to be Skies of Arcadia but Yuki didn't have a fraction of Vyse's chad optimistic chutzpah.

Go for the original Dreamcast version. The Gamecube soundtrack is quite frankly terrible. Neither version of the game has a particularly high encounter rate so I don't think it is that noticeable of a change except on the world map. Grinding is nesecary in a couple of spots so I think the "high encounter rate" would be a better thing honestly. Also Dreamcast VGA output is stunning and looks great with this particular game. The extra content in the Gamecube version is pointless and certainly not worth the gimped graphical and musical presentation.

welcome to every JRPG ever. Vyse escaped from a place that made FF7's desert prison look like a place you'd hold white collar tax dodgers

Skies of Arcadia aside it seems like a lot of DC games didn't port so well
