It can be a pain if you have multiple controllers with multiple layouts, the cores for anything in 5th or 6th generation performs worse than its standalone versions and often won't even run if you have weaker hardware, and the UI can be a bit stiff and confusing at first, other than that I still think it's perfect for emulating up until PS1, having it all in one place with the XMB UI is nice.

Also, the shaders really are the highlight, just it having so many, so easy to use and having it in all of your emulators/cores if you want, or having a specific one for each console, it's just so good.

We do, but it's nice having a good UI when needed too, one thing doesn't exclude the other.
