I'll say one thing: I am a degenerate through and though for any kind of 2D female, but 90% of "sexy action girl" designs just fall flat for me.
I like western art, I like anime tiddy, but most designs in both ends of the spectrum just rub me the wrong way, they look so fucking samey and I can't put my finger on exactly why that is.

I would welcome a protagonist like the one you posted merely to spite the pear clutching crowd, but eh I'm not feeling it.
