Well chums, I got my new home cinema set up going.

>Epson Powerlite 730c
>100" pull-up projection screen - matte white 1.1 gain

Very sharp, but I have to tell you the contrast is NOT EVEN CLOSE to the image that I got with my NEC CRT projector on my shitty improvised screen without any kind of controlled lighting. The NEC absolutely blew it away, even though I had trouble getting convergence and focus set up correctly (and the truth be told I know that I was just trying to use it from too close of a throw distance and too high a resolution expectation).

Of course, I knew this would happen from the very beginning since this is just an old 400:1 contrast ratio LCD projector. 1900 ANSI lumens and 2:1 zoom range so that makes it pretty flexible to set up anywhere.

BUT I don't plan on using it much because the contrast ratio is just everything.

You guys want to be blown away and you have the space I recommend going and getting one of those goliaths from NEC or Sony, but know what you are getting into.
