I remember back in the 90s I'd see them occasionally and was confused by how supremely shit they were. It looked like they were broken or something. The picture was tinted red and washed out. An anon in a previous thread months ago did say he might've found one that isn't shit though, but the thing was so absurdly high end (out of the consumers reach) that they're basically impossible to find.

If you want a gigantic image for whatever reason maybe just get an actual CRT projector and find a wall you can use. That probably also looks shit to though.

After some reading on the subject I believe those units I saw for sale were rear projection. And it lead me down a strange path to learn that Barco and Marquee both made rear projection monitors. Not televisions, but proper computer monitors will all the same specs as their front projection systems.

Somewhere out in the world there may be a few of these amazing things left.
