Is it just me or the JP-exclusive titles are 99% kusoge? To the point I feel like nips have lower standards than burgers

not saying it's ergonomically ideal but the colors, the compact scheme, the sort of star trek original series vibe really do it for me

How hard is it to recreate games from the NES/SNES era in C/C++?

I'm watching High Score on netflix which features Gail Tilden who was basically in charge of localising the famicom and nintendo power. I find the whole thing to be really obnoxious. They change the Japanese aesthetics, Americanise everything except for the games themselves (which is why the whole thing was successful) and then pat themselves on the back like it was their achievement.
I cant be the only one who thinks the famicom would have been successful without being turned into the NES right? same with nintendo power. Seems like this marketing clam went in and ruined Japanese aesthetics of everything, offended the art team in Japan and claimed victory back in the states for all eternity.

Your only resort is on buying second hand games and systems with suspicious amount of life left. If Nintendo are so buttmad at pirates why can't they start producing the things people look for? All they did is emulators without cartridges and couldn't even bother to properly tune the games in the first place...

For me it's the famicom. Those sleek curves and color scheme.

Grabbed a famicom for $15. Any titles I should look out for?
I don't own an FDS btw.

So what AC adapters can I use for this thing? I know I can use the default one with a step-down transformer, or alternatively an American Model 1 Genesis AC adapter. However, both are hard to find and are somewhat expensive. Can I use those "Retro-Versal NES/SNES/Genesis" things or any other universal adapters? This is assuming that I don't want my Famicom to boil or under-perform.
