I'm a burger anon and even I think the Spectrum is unfairly shat on here. It was an all-purpose computer more than a game system, and while tech-wise it's a bit jank it was meant to be as cheap as possible so that just about anyone could have one. Sure, maybe it doesn't compete with the NES or the Master System or whatever some people are going on about, but that's not the damn point. Give this poor thing a break.
