but the idea that pcb\hardware are obsolete now is a farce
there is still much work to be done
& by the time MARS is out\readily available the nerds\geeks\dorks\autists will move their efforts to the new shiny thing

mister is worth it alone though for:
neogeo, cps(2), and the vertical arcade games on crt
its one of my favorite computers ive ever had in a LONG time

good, thats the weakest part of openfpga
not all cores support them,
they likely will soon though as updates happen often

the screen feels a bit "hot" to me after about an hour of playing
but i run it on max bright and refuse to lower it
battery life is pretty good
idle time is godtier
i charge it 1-2 times per week at most

another qualm is the neat filters\effects only work on actual carts not within openfpga

build quality is good
screen lens pokes up a bit (intentionally)
so if youre autistic about it being perfectly flat well.... bad news

the white one shows wear
although i think the black looks worse when greasy
maybe the transparent ones stay fresh lookin


tldr;
if it got stolen or broken i would repurchase that same payperiod
if you have carts and care about moving seamlessly to ngc-player or supergameboy then its A+
