Hi /vr/. This is gonna be a "long" post, but I do badly need your help.
I recently recovered my old PS1 and wanted to burn some games which never came to my country. I'm from Spain, so my PS1 is a PAL one.
I tried using this PAL to NTSC tutorial (http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=388723)), but my PS1 didn't read the game when it was finally patched and burned to a CD-R. The boot/start screen showed up, but only with few letters and without the logo, and it freezed there. What did I do bad/should I do? Thanks in advance.

PS1 Nostalgia/feels thread?

What was it about this console...

Full of games which felt unpolished yet full of life, somewhat eery, the way so many of the games where presented, as well as the demo dics, and classic boot up start screen - everything gave the impression of trippiness, like we were witnessing something really exciting but unknown.

such an insane array of games from LSD, pandemonium and Abes Odyssey to crash bandicoot and ff7-9, there was a mix of abstract crazy shit and more mainstream, high-production gaming, nowadays we only see the latter (and if we ever get the former it's usually packaged as some sort of revolutionary indie experiment or horror game).

I can't testify to the objective quality of every ps1 game, and maybe it is just nostalgia talking, but I don't think we'll ever see such an interesting console again.
