James seems really creative but also very stupid at the same time. e.g. he edited films as a kid with some jury-rigged VCR-plugged-into-VCR set-up and he handles practical effects in inventive ways, but here he is filming a game on a PC monitor because he couldn't figure out how to record video on a PC then transfer it to his Mac for editing.
