Exhibit A

I have ACTUAL irreplaceable things that I'd save in case of a fire. Photo albums, family stuff, etc. I don't care about the games. But it'd be nice if I didn't have to think about this kind of thing at all.

>“Suppose, Sunakkhatta, there were a bronze cup of beverage possessing a good color, smell, and taste, but it was mixed with poison, and a man came who wanted to live, not to die, who wanted pleasure and recoiled from pain. What do you think, Sunakkhatta, would that man drink that cup of beverage, knowing: ‘If I drink this I will incur death or deadly suffering’?” ― “No, venerable sir.” ― “So too, that bhikkhu is one who practices restraint in the six bases of contact. Having understood that acquisition is the root of suffering, being acquisitionless, liberated in the destruction of the acquisitions, it is not possible that he would direct his body or arouse his mind towards any acquisition.

Most of these "collectors" live in absolute fire traps full of fast food rubbish, tangled cables and decades old cheaply made electronics with failing capacitors. Their nests are ticking time bombs and they absolutely cannot be trusted to take care of one of a kind video game history.

Why do hoarders make the claim that games don't need to be dumped because they're "taking care of it" and "it's in safe hands" when their nests are one bad capacitor away from going up in a fireball and most of them live in abject filth? A one of a kind undumped game being hoarded in a rat trap is the furthest thing from safe.

Hey guys, just got a soddering iron in the mail. I want to learn how to fix and maintain these old games and systems. So far all I've done is replace batteries but would like to do all sorts of things. Install bios chips, replace capacitors. Any tips or places to look for information?

Stashing games with zero intention of playing them is some lizard brained, consumerist shit.

Anyway, possessions are fleeting.
