I literally own an authentic Street Fighter 2 cab with its original monitor intact and have been working with it just earlier this month. I have had console SF2s on NTSC displays sitting right next to it and can tell you there is absolutely a difference. Maybe the difference is more a matter of the console palette but I can tell you neither of >>4665769 is arcade correct and the bottom looks like the PS2 version on NTSC TV. There was a lot of variance in arcade monitors probably because of all the hours they had on them and operators absolutely eyeballed their wcutoffs and gain. I could have even given you the specs of the monitor in the cab but nobody seems very interested in how things actually were so just go ahead and try to reach a consensus on how they probably should have been. Whatever makes you happy I guess.

In 1996 my older (24 year old) girlfriend had moved to my city from West Virginia working as a home health aid. She didn't have cable so we basically only watched The Simpsons on VHS. She had a spare bedroom and my best friend moved in so things would be cheaper so I was basically there all the time and didn't really see any commercials period. It was him that had the Playstation with RE and TR. I had played at launch at my friend's house and been pretty impressed but RE & TR blew me away. That friend got me the job at Babbage's early in '97 and that's when I really started partying with mall people and ended up getting my own place in which to party with hotter mall sluts. Or perhaps this is all just an artistic work of fiction.

I thought I was pretty straight forward about being unfamiliar with that supergun and only having looked at some pictures of one. I'm actually pretty surprised that someone actually has the exact ching-chong OP was asking about but I don't know if he would have stuck around for 2 days waiting on you to appear if there hadn't been some discussion and encouragement for him to go research.

I don't have any superguns at all, but I do have several arcade cabs including a 3-player Combatribes, a Vs. Unisystem Hogan's Alley, a 3 monitor NinjaWarriors, A Bally Sente I plan to MAME and a CPS-1 for which I have a CPS-2 harness but so far no CPS-2. I guess it's nice to know there are further harnesses to adapt NAOMI to it and presumably MVS too.

As far as superguns outputting composite and being adaptable to things like Playstation controllers I must admit it truly puzzles me why a person would want to spend hundreds of dollars to do such things rather than just emulating or playing a modern port.
