Yeah, they have a disappointing selection but last time I went they still sold solderable female RCA jacks. From what I'm seeing they don't sell ones that aren't gold plated anymore (at least, not on their website), but they do sell gold plated panel mount phono (RCA) jacks, which are what you want, possibly sans the gold plating, though the only thing gold will hurt is your wallet.

I've been stealing jacks from a dead A/V receiver for a while now (it's a goldmine for them), but the radioshack ones work better and are actually meant for this kind of work. It means you don't have to hot glue the jacks down like I do, because they have a tether and nut to hold them in place.

Alright, you have a point.

Apologies for the hot glue, I didn't want anything shorting to the RF shielding. All my stuff is packed pretty tight on the back panel of my genesis. That little IC off to the left is the 74LS08 I used to fix sync. The bridge is done with solder on the underside of the protoboard. Csync in is the blue wire, out is the silvery wire. Brown is ground and white is Vcc (5v). All those can be taken straight from the DIN connector.
