As I recall, Kaiser didn't make it clear enough that Powerslave EX was HIS work and HIS ALONE and NOT ASSOCIATED WITH NIGHT DIVE AT ALL and this led to some nasty, unpleasant confusion.

The Mechwarrior IP is a legal minefield as far as old game re-releases are concerned due to Harmony Gold and the Macross-plagarising mech designs that they may or may not have the rights to.

Warcraft 2: Battle.net edition came out back in the Diablo 2 days, and they've re-released even older games like Lost Vikings, so I don't think this is the issue.

Blizzard have said that they did a quick Windows port of Warcraft 1, but ultimately decided that it wasn't fun enough to replay in this day and age.
