Are the Pilotwings games good, or are they glorified tech demos?

What are some good retro games that you can just chill and relax with? No intense action or stressful objectives to complete. Stuff like Birdman mode in Pilotwings 64 here.

This is Pilotwings 64. It was one of the launch titles for the Nintendo 64, alongside the better-known Super Mario 64. It was released throughout the world markets from 1996/1997, before 9/11.

One of the major playable areas in the game is called "Little States", a miniaturized map of the lower 48 United States. Major geographical regions, cities and structures are rendered, including the Grand Canyon, the St. Louis Arch, the DC area generally, and New York City with the old WTC.

One of the levels in the game lets you pilot a gyrocopter, which takes off from a runway near the latter two cities, and you're meant to fly west, initially. It is possible, in-game, to detour from the game's intended course, replicate a 9/11 hijacker's route, and strike any of the actual or theoretical targets of the September 11th terrorists!

What are some other video games that let you re-live 9/11, /vr/?

Pilotwings 64 easily. Early N64 was such a magical time in gaming for me. So many of my games I found myself ignoring the actual gameplay and just wanted to go off exploring. PW64 did this best for me. This song gets me in the nostalgia feels every fucking time:

I'm instantly reminded of friday nights at my childhood home comfy as fuck. Man what I wouldn't give to go back, shit I haven't even seen home in 8 years. Shame everything and everyone went to shit there..

>not like there is many games to choose from anyway

Just for fun, let me see if I can name over 10.

>PilotWings 64
>Mario 64
>Beetle Adventure Racing
>Turok 2
>Zelda:OoT
>Zelda:MM
>Blast Corps
>Boberman 64
>SSB
>Mario Kart 64
>Shadows of the Empire

That's just over 10, but aside from blast corps, I haven't even touched Rare's games. N64 had a decent library. That said:

Retro (pre-2000) video game music, but with one rule.

Has to be chill.
