The excuse they used for not allowing sixth gen have something to do with the fact that PS2 was still getting games up to 2012. I can understand the reasoning though. A lot of sixth gen games got remasters on seventh/eighth gen consoles (like the MGS series and the REmake), so they still feel rather fresh compared to fifth gen games. Hell, the God of War series and Persona 3-4 weren't even that long ago. The Dreamcast on other hand, was so ridiculously short-lived, that nobody really minds it.
