Yes they are very nice. Great for dreamcast and mame, as well as hdmi consoles that output 4:3 480p. Super sharp pixels.

For mame, should I get a scanline generator or is that not a good decision? Some pictures I've seen online are like eyecandy. Curious if any one has any thoughts/experience with these scanline generators.

Finally got my hands on a computer monitor. Even though the computer is some no-name company, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the image. CRT is Model Sylvania TF721.

Not even an hour after I had got it, an issue arose. There is a problem where if the cord is bent in a certain place, The image becomes green, red, or blue tinted. I know the problem is the cord because if I hold it in certain position really still I can retain a clean image. My question is how should I go about replacing the cord? I am stuck between slicing the cord before the bad area and soldering on a new one, or opening the monitor and replacing the full cable. Also, I am not sure how to decipher which cord goes where. Looking online, It seems like there isn't really a standard for VGA, with there being different amounts of wires inside the cable. What would be the best way to go about replacing the cable, and how will I know where which cord should go? Any advice/clarifications are really appreciated.

Here's a pic before the thing started acting up.
