>So is FF6 TWUE good or bad?
Mediocre. It more or less started out based more heavily on the SkyRender/RPGOne version, but then Tomato's translation analysis on Legends of Localization revealed how garbo it was and the girl he liked sure let him know that, so now he's been undoing those changes over time in favor of making it more like the base localization and frequenting forums to shill and market himself as dat FFVI guy. He feels threatened whenever yet another texthack is announced, so he constantly updates now to artificially make his texthack the first one you see on RHDN, but these updates barely do anything anymore. (As a rule of thumb, you should avoid ROM hacks that constantly update, because all that means is that the author is an indecisive PoS. No hack I've played with the rolling-release philosophy has ever been decent.) Meanwhile, there are braindead-obvious errors made by Woolsey that he still refuses to fix, like the "Can you talk?!" supposed to be "You can talk!?" in reaction to Mog speaking. If you're considering playing TWUE, you might as well just play the original, because at least you're playing the version ingrained in the popular culture. Or, if you need a no-nonsense, bare minimalist uncensorship, maybe try out the Total Graphics Uncensorship hack, which basically makes the SNES version the way Square released the PSX version.
>How is the pixel remaster for FF5 and FF6?
You can honestly skip the pixel remasters of the SNES trilogy (although V has a masterful rendition of the game's main theme that I always felt oddly sounded a little flat originally). It's normie-friendly for those who feel daunted by rereleases and mods just to be able to play the games optimally. It's not the worst way to play the NES trilogy though, especially III.

>Namingway translation
Cute, but that's an oxymoron because Rodimus doesn't "translate" anything, he just picks and chooses what he very subjectively likes from existing translations, which also results in adding things that weren't there in the original version of the game. He additionally started a horrible trend in Final Fantasy VI romhacking where total dummies with no translation background suddenly think that they too can craft the ideal localization of their game. I'm a lot more comfortable calling freakin' SKY RENDER a translator, because at least he gave an effort to retranslate things, even if it was amateurish and a decent chunk of it was mere guesswork from the previous translation, and he didn't pretend it was anything more than that by leaving his "improvements" optional. And Rod's constant "updates" do nothing worthwhile and always seem to magically occur when another semisubstantial upstart relocalization hack comes out, almost as if he feels threatened by their existence, and it tricks younger people who grew up in the "more updates=more support=it must be good" gaming hellscape into thinking it's the best hack. On top of that, he strongarms others into giving him minor enhancement mods so he can pretend to the uninitiated that HIS hack is the TRUE culmination of all their efforts, and lowkey puts down others that don't bow to him. He truly represents the worst type of egoist on RHDN. Fuck him.

I'm not sure which one this is referring to, but Cyan always sounds stupid no matter the version.

>Ted Woolsey Uncensored
Author is cringe and inflates his ego whenever he can by implying the other relocalization project leaders' miniscule help with the later versions of his patch makes his the ultimate one, and he seems to especially have a hateboner for hairy_hen apparently seeing through him.

>It's not so much intentional collaboration, just that hackers allow their patches to be reused as long as credit is given. Not super cool if that gets misrepresented for more DL's, depends on how blatant
Really now? Well, he's active on Reddit and elsewhere to patrol Final Fantasy VI threads and promote Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition. Pic is his latest post as rodimusprimal1. He also routinely dismisses hairy_hen (who just so happens to be the only one who didn't capitulate to him, at least that's how he clearly views it) for being too "literal" (despite a cursory glance at https://pastebin.com/RyVqkRnY and RHDN forums showing this is not the case at all) and claims that he (lol) worked off TWUE as a base because it still uses "Son of a submariner" (omg). In short, he's a real worm. But don't take my work for it. His posts speak for themselves.
