The best way to actually fix the problem is to loosen the yoke and fix it, but then you have to fix convergence too and it starts to become a real clusterfuck.

While fixing purity you'll want to be able to feed solid red, green, and blue images to the monitor to check that your colors are actually pure.

I did it myself - If you feel more comfortable with magnets/metal, do that first. If you want the 'professional' style, you need to buy some permalloy strips. I think there's at least one arcade repair parts store online that still sells them - I bought some from them but I forget the site.
