Yeah the overly stylized designs look like they're going for a more Metal Slug-ish style, but more kid friendly.
It'd look a lot better if it were more akin to something like Bushiden. Also I love me some THICC, but Kaede's circumference is way to distracting to my Male instincts, which I suppose works for the style they went for with this remake since everything is triple layered in detail, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't distracting. Her OG design was simpler and much more palatable.
