You might like The Humans. It's a puzzle platform.game where you have a tribe of cave men to get through levels and there are various tools you can find and use.

I really liked it. It's a bit like Lemmings and has some really neat level design. Also just generally super charming and funny at points. If you like that kind of thing I recommend checking it out.

I'll agree, it would be much better without it but I came to just accept that's how it plays and I grew to really like it. Only really played it because it was on that terrible GBA Smash Pack which I only bought to play Ecco portable.

The Humans is also one I enjoyed. Cool puzzle/platformer with some fun mechanics.

You'll probably like Humans then. It's similar to Lemmings but you have a tribe of cave men. Lots of charm and humor and some cool puzzles along the way.

You might just not like puzzle platformers. Can you think of any that pleased you?

There's some decent banjo and well as acoustic guitar sounds as well as other instruments in The Humans as well.

Humans is a great game with some tricky puzzles and a good sense of humour. What are your favorite puzzle platform games?

Okay, I don't know what to tell you. I've of course tried out things briefly just to see what they're like, but never thought of that as losing focus. I'm just saying, if you find you lose focus because of tons of games the issue might be more with you than the number of games.

As for the first guy who replied, sure he was being curt and dickish, but kinda has a point. If you can't immerse yourself in a game without thinking about your backlog (whatever that is to you) it doesn't sound like you're really enjoying them in the first place. So I agreed with him.

Sorry if that's not the response you wanted? I don't know much of what else to say, it's not something I've experienced.

The Humans fits that bill I think. It's a little like Lemmings, but more interesting and a touch more platformy. You have a tribe of humans and each level takes a certain number of them to complete. You can find more to add to your tribe along the way, but you'll also have to sacrifice some as the game goes along. Highly recommended.

You might like The Humans. You have to use your tribe of humans to work together and get to the end of the level. A lot of really well designed puzzles.

I like recommending what I think are little played but great games. And I find it fun when a person is looking for something new to play to find what kinds of games they like and recommend some.

I'll happily take that over the weekly Final Fantasy Sucks and Castlevania Fight threads. Which is why I don't click on those anymore and am happier for it.

And here's a sweet tip. You can easily not click on the threads that don't interest you as well.

Supposedly The Humans was kind of popular in Europe, but I don't know anyone else who's played it. Shame too, it's a damn fun game.

The Humans
I'm going to keep mentioning this game, because it's seriously pretty great (if you like puzzle platformers) and I've pretty well never met anyone else who's played it. It's similar to Lemmings, but more creative with some great puzzles and a wonderful sense of humor.

Some pretty catchy music too

Funny, I just sold off my copy of that a couple weeks ago when I went to dump a bunch of stuff at my local retro store. Genesis is the one console I keep carts for because I still use a Nomad sometimes. But going through them, that was one of the games that just never enjoyed and realized I was probably never going to play again. Hopefully the next person enjoys it.

Humans is my recommendation for a strange, beautiful, unique game that you can probably find pretty cheap. it's a bit like Lemmings but more interesting with some really great puzzles. It's also cute to look at, has a good sense of humor and very catchy music. I assume it's cheap because I've never even met anyone else who's played it so I doubt it's highly sought after.

Humans is sort of like Lemmings, but with more interesting puzzles and a great sense of humor.

Shiren the Wanderer is one of the best roguelikes of all time and is eternally criminally underated

Ecco the Dolphin can never be rated too high.

Nah, I'm with him. I find fighters completely pointless without people to play with. They're one of the best genres ever in multiplayer, but one of the absolute worst in single player. And actually find I get worse if I spend too much time fighting it AI.

On topic, I don't think my parents ever got me a game I didn't like. The closest would be the Sonic 1 that came packed in with my Genesis, but I also got Ecco and Humans shortly after so I didn't care and never felt the need to pretend to play it.
