You used to like it tho so why the contrarianism? Ico is a great break from games constantly shoving golden stars and coins down your throat. It shows games can be fun simply with interactions with the world and characters and can drive you to do and want certain things without dangling bonus points or gold or loot as the reward. Especially refreshing today with how bloated games are with exp bars and ranks and all this other gargbage. Then again, someone who has made it their stated mission to shit on sony games as revenge for a soured deal in the 90s may not see this or configure this to be a bad thing in their head.
