I am guessing it would be a strong well-known franchise running on the same engine that powers the Tony Hawk games. Similar to how Ducktales got a solid foundation running on a similar framework of Megaman.

I think I favor 3, but the first one was surprisingly great from the start. From the good word of mouth, I randomly got the Dreamcast game from the clearance section, and wound up staying up all night due to its addictiveness. I also heard the remake is amazing.

I stopped at 3, but they were all great to the point I had forgotten to sleep and played them through all-nighters. Seems like 4, UG, UG2 has a lot of love on this thread, and maybe one day I'll give them a try. It is one of my most favorite sports game series.

What nice bonuses/features is on the original PS version of 3 and 4 that would serve me better than getting them on non-/vr/ systems?

Did Spiderman look better on PS1? I recall there was a PC port and a Dreamcast version too.
