There are concept arts of futuristic zelda, and Miyamoto considered making the trifoce into computer chips in the original NES game.

But nothing has ever being said about A link to the past having time travel. The only weird hint about chronology was the back of the box where it hints about being a prequel.

But hey is just a theory... a g_ay theory

Sure, I also remember when everyone and their mother was suddenly convinced that A Link to the Past took place after the NES games because of one interview with Miyamoto off his meds, then someone with basic weeaboo skills looked at the back of the Japanese box and it said the same thing about the predecessors of Link and Zelda (in relation to the NES games). Doesn't really matter much because if I'm in a store, I'm going to judge a game from the box, and Chrono Cross' back cover explains it takes place twenty years after the events of Chrono Trigger, ergo, for all intents and purposes, a sequel. With no offense to Kato, calling it anything else it pedantic. Keep in mind the localization worked more closely with the creators this time, and even added a few moments of clarity in the script when they had permission to do so.
