Simon is my favorite too. He represents all the best qualities of the Belmonts, has tremendous perseverance, and may have even defeated Dracula three times -- the best ending stinger of CV 2 never leads into a new game, Dracula is still vanquished and has to be revived for the next Castlevania game, so Simon must have annihilated Dracula so quickly and thoroughly that it didn't even result in a game.

It's excellent, though quite hard on Original Mode. Still, the game is more balanced around Original Mode, so I'd suggest playing it on that mode first. Also, be warned that this port basically pulled a "pad and scan" on the camera of the original game, so the screen is stretched and the HUD obscures part of it, making it harder to see and clearly identify threats.

Does the water in the subterranean city level raise at a faster rate on the second loop? I swear it did when I did a Trevor-only run (I didn't know the Akama password disabled getting allies in a playthrough) years ago.
