I know Far Cry 1 is kind of new to stay completely on topic but... FFS the gameplay is such a mess. I don't get how they didn't look at all the games from the decade before that mixed hitscan/near-hitscan and monster enemies.
I guess year 2000 - ~2010 had a lot of dumb shit going on with shooters and this could be applied to a lot of almost-good games
