I just played through both Goldeneye and PD two weeks ago after not having touched them in roughly 15 years. Both games still have cool weapons, good level design, amazing music, and it still has things that you rarely find in even modern fps games like being able to shoot a weapon out of someone's hand. Yeah the frame rate and graphics have not aged well, but that is true for even PC fps games at the time.

I played both DOOM, Duke Nukem 3D, Turok, and MechWarrior 2 before I played Goldeneye. The latter is a mech sim and not technically a FPS game but it still plays from the first person so I count it. Anyways, I still loved Goldeneye so your argument is invalid.

The remaster fucks with the control scheme and fucks up the lighting. The only thing it does better is have a higher fps and cleaner look.

>5th gen console games were mess because they sold on the novelty of 3-D and didn't need to be able to just get by on gameplay.

Are you seriously suggesting that PC games did not huge advertise their cutting edge graphics over everything else? Delusional.

>Much more like modern console FPS controls.

Fuck that. Console FPS games should control uniquely from PC FPS games, and not merely feel like a gimped KB&M like you suggest.
