For comparison, here's how my 20L5 looks. Note that the bigger tube size is part of it, but I also love the way shadow masks look. And the thickness of the lines on the panasonic really appeals to me.

Yeah, the station I went to had a gatekeeper too, but it was a PBS station so I was able to get in as a volunteer (I'd done it previously). And yeah, contacting the engineer is the way to go.

If you're in America, don't use SCART cables. There's no reason for it.
