Today I finally retired my Hitachi Superscan Elite 20 from active desktop service. It has been replaced by a Lenovo Thinkvision LT2452p.

The Hitachi was built in 1995, and thus this year passed its 20th year of service as a desktop monitor. I already miss it. The monitor still works perfectly. However, I am finally, finally, finally moving past my phase of fascination with CRT technology and have a desire to explore the world of new video games.

The Hitachi will not completely rest yet. It has duty to perform for Street Fighter V next year...
