BD for better or worse was technically "about Doom" whereas MyHouse has more in common with Megaman 8 Bit Deathmatch where the appeal can be something unrelated to Doom.
And Eternal already lead to people that had basic knowledge on Doom hype it up as if they were the "truest fans", hence people getting mad at Doomguy being put in Fortnite.
The old guard also doesn't seem to care about this either.
/v/ likes to bitch about zoomers but most older people on Doomworld don't really give a shit.
MyHouse is also tied to ongoing fads like "liminal spaces", so who knows if that doesn't hurt its relevance.
