That and some modders behind said mods, unlike Mark, play a better part in being involved in Doom modding by either sometimes doing amazing or interesting things or just being in multiple mods, either as the main directors or just some form of contribution.
You look at someone like Xaser, you'll start seeing his name in different gameplay mods and wads, most of which look different enough to make his backtrack more interesting.
You look at Mark and what you get is
>The same popular mod being cluttered with features that could have been seperate mods
>Seperate mods that are either spin offs, off shoots or have a certain relation with Brutal Doom
>Mapping, something he's good at, but he doesn't care much because it's not what he's associated the most with
No modder is perfect but this just means some of these people are a better representation of Doom modding than Mark, than if anything, Brutal Doom was big enough to build its own scene.
