List games you'd like to find similar games of. Keep it retro...for example you can list newer games you'd like to find retro versions of, but the reverse would probably not be advised for this board.

Also feel free to suggest recommendations. For example: If you like WipEout, try Rollcage. If you enjoyed Gunstar Heroes, Gunner's Heaven is extremely similar.

Go get an entire romset (Goodsets) for the system and pick and play based on what you already know. It'll save time so you won't have to go back and forth to websites. Then venture outside of what you usually play and look at and discover new things.

Don't want an entire romset? View these lists and arrange based on developers you trust and ones you know nothing about. Dive right in.

This should solve most problems. Google helps too (it's been around for so long now, get with it) So in the future if you see your fellow /vr/ posters having trouble finding stuff to play tell them what I told you.

what are some good non nintendo platforming franchises? i wanna get into classic playstation games like the Crash and Spyro series and also series like Rayman, Gex, Bubsy, Aero the Acrobat, Superfrog and all kinds of games across different platforms.

I kind of like American Sonic, though I much prefer Japanese Sonic (particularly Sonic CD).

Also, whoever drew this did an amazing job of drawing Mega Man in the American Sonic style.
