So the controller on my toploader quit working, even though the games were starting fine. It hasn't sustained any damage, I just had to reset my beloved Zelda 2 and after the reset the controller wouldn't respond. I thought it was the ports, but I came back after sleeping and they seemed to work again.

And then things went to shit. The sound started to slow down and graphics appeared where they shouldn't have been, and eventually I could only use the A button.

Is the CPU in my poor old toploader dying?
