Yeah the cadence is defenitely different, but its there. Part of why I emphasize it is because Final Doomer is actually a great example of doing it right: its not thrown on every single weapon, on pistols its both optional and has pros/cons to using it or not, and among the other weapons that have it its usually a balance consideration while not being overly intrusive. TNTguy's super shotgun has a 4 shell chamber, and reloads after those 4 shots are spent Duke pistol style. The reload is very quick (think its even faster than the vanilla SSG one) and theres an option to allow manual reloading in case you hate the Duke style one as much as I do. In the end that little hiccup in firing for the reload animation keeps the raw DPS of the weapon stay in line with most vanilla SSGs and just changes the cadence a bit. With Heretical Doom I tried to give it a more unique take on reloading by having the weapons require charging (since they're enchanted) but made it so you can have them automatically recharge while not being fired, manually reload to speed it up, or disable it entirely. The recharging also speeds up as you level up, so over the course of the game it gets faster until its near instant. Some people like it, some hate it, so I like leaving that choice to the player when I can.
Funny enough one of the pistols in Final Doomer does something similar to the recharge on a smaller level, the Whitemare pistol's reload (when enabled) is basically a cooling unit and manually reloading speeds it up.

A lot of weaponsets that get that goofy tend to be joke wads, so best I can offer are ones that have a lot of sillyness to them, like Combined Arms, GMOTA, and Treasure Tech. Heretical Doom has some silly easter eggs like the hopak dance, chaos dunk, and the powerup that turns you into a chicken lord chuffin a fat dart.

Took a break from messing with the Lich to finally finish reworking the Dragon Claw firing animation. Still want to tweak it a bit, but the sequential fire and lighting aspects are finished at least.
